JET SET – Ascanio Palchetti

Synopsis

Ascanio Palchetti was one of the most original and visionary figures in the rise of the Italian jet set. From Cortina d’Ampezzo in the 1960s to Porto Ercole and Porto Rotondo, he turned nightclubs and social gatherings into symbols of an unforgettable era. Through archival footage, interviews and personal memories, this special documentary retraces his remarkable life and career: the story of a man who anticipated trends and reinvented the experience of nightlife and summer society. The film was created to accompany the wooden statue dedicated to Ascanio, housed in the Church of San Lorenzo in Porto Rotondo, bringing his memory vividly back to life through images.
