01.Is kinoora exclusive?
No. You can host your film here while simultaneously keeping it on YouTube, other streaming services or your own site. We want you to maximize your reach, not limit it.
02.How do I earn money?
You keep 70% of Net Revenue (Gross minus taxes & payment processing fees and app store fees if applicable). Platform-wide subscription revenue flows into a shared Watch Time Pool, while Rentals and Donations (90%) go directly to you. Check the revenue calculator above for the exact breakdown.
03.Do I lose my rights?
Never. You only grant us a non-exclusive license to stream, which you can revoke anytime. Your story is yours. We are just here to help you find the right audience for it.
Note: You must own or have cleared licenses for all music and footage used in your film.
04.Do I have creative control?
Total control. You can update your poster, metadata, and subtitles instantly. You can also upload Bonus Footage (BTS, interviews, outtakes) to further engage your audience. Set your own rental prices and edit all metadata and details yourself at any time.
05.What are the technical specs?

06.What analytics do I get?
Every filmmaker gets free access to our basic analytics dashboard. No waiting for quarterly reports: You can check your stats (e.g. Views, watch time, completion rates) in real-time. 07.Are there ads on my film?
No. We are a premium, ad-free platform. Your story is never interrupted by commercials, ensuring the cinematic immersion remains unbroken for your audience.
08.What languages/subtitles?
We welcome all global languages but suggest adding English subtitles. Reach a global audience with our auto-generated translations (EN, DE, FR, ES, IT). You can also upload unlimited custom subtitles (.srt/.vtt) and alternate audio tracks (Dubbing, Director's Commentary).
09.How do I talk to my fans?
kinoora is built for connection. You get access to your own News Feed to post updates and a direct Messenger to chat with fans and other filmmakers.
10.Can I upload a series?
Yes! We have a dedicated series structure with Seasons and Episodes. This ensures your audience can binge-watch your story in the correct order without getting lost.
11.Where is kinoora active?
We are currently live in the UK, EU, Norway, and Switzerland. We are actively working on expanding to North America and further regions in 2026.
12.Is it really free to start?
Yes. The "Filmmaker Starter" tier has no monthly fee. We only make money when you do (via the revenue share). There are no hidden upload fees.
13.Can I control where my film is shown?
Absolutely. You have granular control over your Distribution Settings. You can geo-block specific countries to prevent conflicts with existing distribution deals, and you can update these settings instantly at any time.
14.What kind of films do you accept?
We are a home for Cinema. We welcome narrative features, shorts, and documentaries. We do not host vlogs, tutorials, or corporate content. While we don't gatekeep stories, we do curate for technical quality and legal compliance.
15.Can I remove my film?
Yes, instantly. You have a "Take Down" button in your dashboard. Clicking it removes the film immediately and instantly revokes our license to stream it. You are never locked in against your will.
16.Why do you have social features?
We don't want to be another, boring streaming service. We are so much more than that. With kinoora, you do not just distribute your film, you create an audience. Market your films, connect with your fans and get in touch with an international community that truly loves cinema. It's streaming, but social!
17.Are there other social features?
Yes! Through our scrollable discovery feed, viewers can find your films through trailers and engage with them through likes and comments. Users can also rate & review films to give you direct feedback. This is only the beginning, there is so much more to come.
